Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut

watchmen2This is the version of the film I have been waiting for. It has Tales of the Black Freighter added into the film making it even closer to the original graphic novel.

Warner Bros. will release the 5-disc DVD ($43.87) and 4-disc Blu-ray ($59.99) editions of Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut on 3rd November for a limited time with apparantly only 70,000 units being produced. However, I am sure they’ll end up making more.

    I already have the motion comics; is there any news of a 1- or 2-disc version of this cut?

I’ll be picking this up, but hanging on to my copy of the Director’s Cut Blu-ray — as Snyder himself has said, the DC is his final version of the film, whereas the ‘Ultimate Cut’ is just (as he put it) “an experiment”. Not to mention that they don’t appear to be including the Maximum Movie Mode on this edition.
