How cool is this? Although I have no idea how you would actually go about making it.
Masterle247 is the guy who built it and he had this to say about it:
The reason why my armor look the way it does. The reason being is that i used Phil Saunders War machine concept and balanced some of the New IronMan 2 Armor design in to the concept, hench forth a hybrid War Machine Armor. I seen the leaked Ironman 2 from Comic-Con San Deigeo 2009 and most of the design i did fall REALLY close to the War machine armor. so im really excited Hope you enjoy my journey of creating the armor

John Carpenter’s The Thing is a true classic. One of my favourite films of all time and just fantastic to watch. To bring you up to speed the prequel is meant to be dealing with what happened over at the Norwegian camp before the dog made its way to the American camp and the events in the original film.
Ronald Moore of Battlestar Galactica had written the script for the prequel but this was then passed over to Eric Heisserer for a rewrite.
An interesting piece over on Bleeding Cool hints that we could possible be seeing Darth Vader going head to head with Superman.
The return of the inter-company crossovers. With Paul Levitz leaving, there may be less of an impediment to the Marvel/DC crossovers that have been stymied for a while. How soon until Batman/Daredevil by Bendis and Mack? Of course much bigger news will be the DC Universe, Dark Horse and LucasFilm getting into bed for crossovers with epic proportions.
It is very vague, but we could definitely be seeing some kind of crossover with some Star Wars characters and comic book characters.
What are your thoughts? What crossovers would you like to see?
I can’t honestly say that I ever wondered how long Luke would live when Han put him in the corpse of his Tauntaun on Hoth. However, Wolf Gnards (cool name. Monster Squad inspired if I guess correctly) have put some thought to it.
In a normal environment, a carcass gets cold in 8 to 36 hours losing an average rate of 1.6 degrees Fahrenheit per hour. However, the ice world of Hoth is not an average environment. The Star Wars database lists that Hoth reaches nightly temperatures of -60 F. In a frigid, sub-zero environment, body heat can be lost almost 32 times faster. This means a Tauntaun’s body heat could drop almost 51.2 F every hour. Considering that Han Solo’s Tauntaun died of severe hypothermia even before it was cut open with Luke’s light saber, one could assume it’s core body temperature was already well below normal. The problem for Luke is if the Tauntaun’s body temperature reaches freezing point those once toasty guts, blood, and assorted alien goo, will in fact become a frozen coffin. If the Tauntaun died of cardiac arrest due to hypothermia with an average body temperature of 75 F (23 C), and if Tauntaun blood freezes at 28.4 F (-2 C), then Han has roughly 56 minutes to set up a shelter before Luke once again is in danger of losing his life in the barren wasteland of Hoth.
The Marionette Unit is an original story by filmmakers Azhur Saleem and James Boyle.
This film is set in an alternate Victorian England, a world where steam-punk technology has developed rapidly and in a world where all creativity, art and individual expression is state-controlled. The Marionette Unit is a theatre show where machine and human have been fused together. A musical machine that resembles a twisted tortured church organ, run with valves, steam and electricity, is connected by a mass of electrical cables to three ballet dancers, who have the wires fused into their bodies. The dancers are controlled by the machine much to the amazement of the Victorian audience.
We follow the story of Smith, an enigmatic character connected to an underground society of artists, hunted by the police. He has come to watch the prize ballet dancer, Georgette try and escape the wired clutches of The Marionette Unit. Will she be able to wrestle free and escape with Smith, or will she succumb to the powerful forces that hold her captive?
SPACE BATTLESHIP ヤマトis the live action adaption of the old Japanese cartoon that was redubbed and called Star Blazers in the West. I remember watching some of it as a kid and I loved the fact it was an old ocean going battleship that was turned into a spacecraft (are you listening Peter Berg?) It was a cracking design concept.
Set in 2220, the pic will depict the evacuation of 300 million people from Earth to avoid certain death from an expanding black hole. The Yamato, a space battleship, is leading the rescue fleet when it is attacked by an alien force.
Takuya Kimura, the member of the SMAP entertainment unit known to Japanese fans as “KimuTaku,” will star as the main hero Susumu Kodai in the remake of the space opera classic. Kimura also starred as the title character in the Howl’s Moving Castle animated film released in 2004.
Check out the footage below. It looks bloody good.
Space Battleship Yamato will be released in December 2010 in Japan.
Wes Keller is a young man living in a world where oil has collapsed, the food supply has been wiped out, and cancer rates for women have skyrocketed, depleting the female population. In a barbaric environment where bio fuel, batteries, bullets and people are currency and marauders roam free, Wes tries to escape to a mythical world run on cold fusion “Plutopia”, a place that may only exist in the mind. THE BILL IS DUE. ‘Downstream’ is a view of the not so distant future. We follow a young man (everyone’s son) as he pays the price for society’s decadence.
