The Switch – Trailer for Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman rom com

Posted by LiveFor on March 18, 2010

This was the film originally called The Baster, but that was a bit in your face for the studio. I’m hoping Bateman lifts this one up from the normal Aniston rom-com.

Jennifer Aniston stars alongside Jason Bateman in this offbeat comedy as Kassie, a smart, fun-loving single woman who, despite her neurotic best friend Wally’s (Bateman) objections, decides it’s time to have a baby?even if it means doing it by herself… with a little help from a charming sperm donor (Patrick Wilson). But, unbeknownst to her, Kassie’s plans go awry because of a last-minute switch that isn’t discovered until seven years later when Wally finally gets acquainted with Kassie’s cute–though slightly neurotic–son.

Also stars Jeff Goldblum, Juliette Lewis and is due out on 20th August 2010.

Just Go With It – Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston are joined by Brooklyn Decker and Nicole Kidman

Posted by LiveFor on February 26, 2010

I generally enjoy Adam Sandler’s films. They’re never totally brilliant, but I often chuckle at them – especially Happy Gilmore and The Wedding Singer. However, they seem to be going more and more the romantic comedy route. His latest features Sandler with Jennifer Aniston – her work in film seems to be going the same way – Forgettable romantic comedies with big name leading men who she seems to be photographed with an awful lot.

Just Go With It has Sandler recruiting Aniston to pose as his soon to be divorced wife, and her kids as his fake family. Sports Illustrated model, Brooklyn Decker (above), plays the girl Sandler falls for. No doubt in the course of the film there will be scenes of Sandler being hit in the balls by the kids, touching scenes of romance as he slowly realises that he loves Aniston’s character. Oh, there will also be a comedy pet or wild animal.

Variety have the news that Nicole Kidman is joining the cast in a small but vital comedic supporting role along the lines of Tom Cruise’s turn in Tropic Thunder.

The screenplay was written by Allan Loeb, Tim Dowling, Tim Herlihy and Adam Sandler. Dennis Dugan will direct. Production begins next month in Los Angeles with the film planned for Valentine’s Day weekend next year.

Happy Madison Partner Jack Giarraputo says, “The writers did a great job developing a scenario that is not only a romantic comedy, but a family comedy as well, and everyone gets a chance to score.”

The Bounty Hunter – Poster for Gerard Butler & Jennifer Aniston film…oh dear!

Posted by LiveFor on December 17, 2009

The film is about a bounty hunter (Butler) hired to retrieve his ex-wife (Aniston), who has skipped bail.

During the pursuit there will be comedy, drama and they will come to the stunning conclusion that they still love each other. Oh and they’ll be hand cuffed together having lost the key and being stranded in the middle of the desert. They’ll then have to sleep in the open and one of them will wake up and look at the other one sleeping.

No doubt there will be another Bounty Hunter in pursuit of Jennifer but he will be a really nasty one with a scar or something…maybe a dog or a mullet!

If there hasn’t already been, news will surface that during the shoot Aniston and Butler were romantically linked.

The film will open with little or no fanfare, make a bit of cash and then sink into the morass of rom-com failure.

All that from a poster.

Management – Trailer for Jennifer Aniston and Steve Zahn rom com

Posted by LiveFor on March 14, 2009

Management is a romantic comedy that chronicles a chance meeting between Mike Cranshaw (Steve Zahn) and Sue Claussen (Jennifer Aniston). When Sue checks into the roadside motel owned by Mike’s parents in Arizona, what starts with a bottle of wine “compliments of Management” soon evolves into a multi-layered, cross-country journey of two people looking for a sense of purpose. Mike, an aimless dreamer, bets it all on a trip to Sue’s workplace in Maryland – only to find that she has no place for him in her carefully ordered life. Buttoned down and obsessed with making a difference in the world, Sue goes back to her yogurt mogul ex-boyfriend Jango (Woody Harrelson), who promises her a chance to head his charity operations. But, having found something worth fighting for, Mike pits his hopes against Sue’s practicality, and the two embark on a twisted, bumpy, freeing journey to discover that their place in the world just might be together.

Jeff Goldblum holds The Baster

Posted by LiveFor on March 11, 2009

Jeff Goldblum has joined the cast of the romantic comedy “The Baster” for Mandate Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.

Directed by Will Speck and Josh Gordon, the story follows a man (Jason Bateman) whose female best friend (Jennifer Aniston) plans to become pregnant with artificial insemination, but he replaces the preferred sample with his own.

Seven years later, she returns to New York with her son, and he is forced to live with the secret that he is the child’s real father.

Goldblum will play Bateman’s business partner and confidant, whose idea of working out is walking slowly on the treadmill while eating a candy bar.

I do like Jeff Goldblum but he doesn’t seem to have done anything that was good for ages. This film doesn’t sound as if it will be breaking that trend. The plot of this film sounds truly dreadful and Jason Bateman is at risk of flushing away all his current success in recent years by starring in it. That’s just my opinion of course.
