James Marsters as Lord Piccolo from Dragonball Evolution
Posted by LiveFor on February 23, 2009

Total Film had this image from Dragonball Evolution, directed by James Wong.
This one shows James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Smallville, Torchwood) as Lord Piccolo. Green and bald sums it up. Kind of like a stretched out Yoda but with less hair. Below is Piccolo as seen in the cartoons so the makeup job isn’t too bad.
Dragonball fans do you want to see this film or should they have stuck to the animated versions?

Franklyn – New photos from Meanwhile City
Posted by LiveFor on February 19, 2009
I’ve posted some posters and the trailer for the Gerald McMorrow directed film starring Ryan Phillippe, Eva Green, Sam Riley and Bernard Hill. Now we have lots of new photos to look at thanks to io9.
Franklyn is set between the parallel worlds of contemporary London and the futuristic metropolis of Meanwhile City, and weaves a tale of four souls, whose lives are intertwined by fate, romance and tragedy. As these worlds collide, a single bullet determines the destiny of these four characters.
Preest, a masked vigilante detective, searching for his nemesis on the streets of Meanwhile City, a monolithic fantasy metropolis ruthlessly governed by faith and religious fervor. Esser (Bernard Hill) is a broken man, searching for his wayward son amongst the rough streets of London’s homeless. Milo (Sam Riley) is a heartbroken thirty-something desperately trying to find a way back to the purity of first love. Emilia (Green) is a beautiful art student; her suicidal art projects are becoming increasingly more complex and deadly.

The Informant – Look it’s a tubby Matt Damon with a moustache
Posted by LiveFor on February 19, 2009
Teaser Trailer had the photos for Steven Soderbergh’s latest film, The Informant, starring Matt Damon.
The Informant is based on the true-life novel by Kurt Eichenwald. The story revolves around Mark Whitacre (Damon), a rising star at the agriculture conglomerate, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM). At the urging of his wife (Melanie Lynskey)Whitacre spilled the beans to an agent that he had been involved in a price-fixing scam with other major corporations over the food additive, lysine. As if that wasn’t enough of a story, it was later revealed that Whitacre (one of the most high profile, whistle-blowers in history) was suffering from Bipolar disorder and had defrauded millions from ADM.
The film also stars Patton Oswalt, Scott Bakula and Thomas F Wilson. It is due out this November.

Is this The Fallen? Is that Devastator?
Posted by LiveFor on February 11, 2009
TFW2005 had this photo of what could be the big bad from Michael Bay’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. I’m digging the ancient Egypt look of its head and I assume it is standing on the top of an Egyptian Pyramid.
However, it doesn’t look like the recent toy that was unveiled as the Fallen recently. Either way it does look cool and will be great to see it on the big screen.
TFW2005 also have this concept art that is marked as Devastator. Not sure if that will be the final version of it, but again it looks great.
Do you think this is the Fallen and Devastator?

Iron Sky – Moon Nazis attack!
Posted by LiveFor on February 11, 2009
This sci-fi comedy from the makers of Star Wreck sounds good. Twitch have also reported that Julia Dietze will play the lead Moon Nazi Officer.
Towards the end of World War II the staff of SS officer Hans Kammler made a significant breakthrough in anti-gravity.
From a secret base built in the Antarctic, the first Nazi spaceships were launched in late ‘45 to found the military base Schwarze Sonne (Black Sun) on the dark side of the Moon. This base was to build a powerful invasion fleet and return to take over the Earth once the time was right.
Now it’s 2018, the Nazi invasion is on its way and the world is goose-stepping towards its doom.

Terminator Salvation – Lots of skeletons in on-set photo
Posted by LiveFor on February 10, 2009
Radar Online got hold of some on-set photos for Terminator Salvation starring Christian Bale.
McG had this to say about the look of Terminator Salvation. “We talked to the people who monitored Chernobyl about what the world would sound and look and taste and feel like after the bombs have gone off.”
If you have played Call of Duty 4 then you will no doubt dig the whole Chernobyl vibe for its weird otherworldliness.
