I've moved to

Neil Marshall and Sam Raimi will make you Burst

neil-marshall-directing-doomsdayNeil Marshall (Dog Soldiers, The Descent, Doomsday) is going to have a go at some 3-D horror according to Heat Vision.

Marshall will direct Burst 3D for Ghost House Pictures, a film that puts him back in business with Lionsgate, which distributed The Descent.

Ghost House partners Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert will produce which is pretty cool. Marshall and Raimi making a horror film.

The story is about a group of stranded travelers who meet during a blizzard and get stalked by a malevolent force that makes people spontaneously combust. That should be perfect for the 3D effects. In fact it makes it sound like one of those gimmicky films from the 50s which may be a good or a bad thing.

Marshall, the editor-turned writer/director is currently working on Centurion, the period film that stars Michael Fassbender. A group of Roman soldiers fight for their lives behind enemy lines after their legion is ambushed during the Roman invasion of England in 117 A.D. I posted some new photos of that a few days ago.

What do you think about Burst? Naff or brill?
