The Ledge – Liv Tyler, Terrence Howard and Patrick Wilson on suicide watch

Liv Tyler, Patrick Wilson, Terrence Howard and Charlie Hunnam have been cast in the film The Ledge from first-time writer-director Matthew Chapman according to THR.
It follows the story of a man (Hunnam) standing on a high-rise ledge who insists he must jump by noon as the policeman below (Howard) tries to manage the situation. It’s not clear what Tyler and Wilson will be doing.
Is it just me or does that sound like a cross between the bit from The Twilight Zone Movie and a scene from Lethal Weapon?
“‘The Ledge’ examines the different and sometimes dangerous beliefs people adopt as a means of surviving emotional trauma,” Chapman said.
Ah just me then.
“As more and more films succumb to the visual wizardry of 3D, ‘The Ledge’ explores the fourth dimension: the interior life of tortured souls hovering over the precipice of emotional nullity. This film is the reason why I became an independent filmmaker and why I continue to suffer in the trenches of independent filmmaking.” said producer Michael Mailer.
The film began shooting Monday in Baton Rouge, La.
