Very cool and very funny mashup of Ghost in the Shell and Sealab 2021.

Thanks to the always excellent Topless Robot. Without them there would be so much sadness in the World.

Black Dynamite may get animated

Posted by LiveFor on October 2, 2009

black_dynamite-3[1]The always excellent Latino Review have been talking to Michael Jai White and Arsenio Hall about their new movie, Black Dynamite.

They asked Michael if he planned on expanding the world of Black Dynamite.

He said that like the end credits of the film they were planning on doing a Black Dynamite cartoon series for Adult Swim and the creators of The Boondocks may be doing it.

I think this is great news as I am all for animation in all forms. A bit of blaxploitation style cartoon fun will be great.

In the film African-American action legend Black Dynamite goes after ‘The Man’ for killing his brother Jimmy, for pumping heroin into local orphanages and for flooding the ghetto with hopped-up malt liquor.

According to Black Dynamite director Scott Sanders, they already have ideas for a sequel if the film does well.

Black Dynamite is due out in theaters October 16th.

TIM AND ERIC AWESOME SHOW, GREAT JOB! THE COMPLETE SEASON ONE: 10 EPISODES
ON DVD 27 APRIL

“THE FUTURE OF COMEDY” The Guardian Guide

Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim write & star in this surreal comedy which mixes songs, spoof ads & sketches based around characters from a home grown cable TV show (think Wayne’s World meets Flight of the Conchords!).

The show opens with the hosts dancing on their own tongues and gets even crazier after that! Using a combination of real-life acting and green-screen technology the comic duo conjure up an incredulous array of characters including the Anchorman-esque ‘Channel 5 Married News Team’, a dad-obsessed dance instructor, tone-deaf singers whose faces drip with eczema and would-be swingers who gorge on shrimp and wine!

The series is peppered with A-list celeb cameos and guest stars including Oscar-nominated John C. Reilly (Step Brothers, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story), Michael Cera (Superbad, Juno), and comic “Weird Al” Yankovic.

G.I. Joe: Resolute is coming

Posted by LiveFor on April 3, 2009

Apparantly, Warren Ellis wrote an R rated G.I. Joe cartoon that, until now, hadn’t seen the light of day.

Now Topless Robot have the news that G.I. Joe: Resolute has been spotted on Adult Swim’s schedule for 25th April at midnight.

Looking at the trailer below it looks like it could be pretty good.
