The Expendables – Official trailer for Stallone and friends new film

Posted by LiveFor on March 31, 2010

Yes folks you do get to see Arnie, Stallone, and Bruce on screen together for the first time in the trailer. Anyone else get a little shiver when they saw that? Now if we could get them together in more than just a cameo. It even has the Eighties style voice over guy.

A group of mercenaries is hired to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator. Once the mission begins, the men realize things aren’t quite as they appear, finding themselves caught in a dangerous web of deceit and betrayal. With their mission thwarted and an innocent life in danger, the men struggle with an even tougher challenge — one that threatens to destroy this band of brothers.

It stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Randy Couture, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steve Austin, Danny Trejo and Eric Roberts.

Terminator 5 and 6? The writer of 1 and 2 has some ideas

Posted by LiveFor on February 12, 2010

The rights to Terminator got settled recently with Pacificor taking the cyborgs by the horns. What Terminator fans want to know now is what comes next for the Terminator universe.

Mike Fleming over at Deadline Hollywood has the news that William Wisher, has scripted a detailed 24-page treatment for Terminator 5, and a 4-page concept outline for Terminator 6. Who’s William Wisher? He is James Cameron’s writing partner for the first two Terminator films. Fleming has read the treatments for the sequel and here is what he had to say about it:

I think Wisher has done a terrific job with a plot that accepts the storylines from Jonathan Mostow’s Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and McG’s Terminator: Salvation. Most interestingly, he turns the story back to the core characters and time travel storyline of the first two films that Wisher crafted with Cameron.

Wisher’s 2-picture construct takes place in a post-apocalyptic battleground, and factors in an element of time travel that allows for Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese to interact beyond their single fateful meeting when he traveled back in time to protect her in the original film. Wisher has created a role for Arnold Schwarzenegger that is as surprising as his shift from villain in the first film, to John Connor’s bodyguard in the second. Schwarzenegger wouldn’t be needed until the final film, which wouldn’t shoot until after he ends his term as California Governor. And who wouldn’t want to see Linda Hamilton back in aerobic top fitness form as Sarah Connor?

There are several new villains, and plenty of firepower. For instance, a swarm of “Night Crawlers,” 4 1/2-foot tall border sentries that are set like mines to spring up out of the ground and ambush rebel fighters with 10 MM pistols built into their wrists, and fingers and feet that are razor sharp. Also fresh off the Skynet assembly line are new shape-shifting cyborgs that can morph together in Transformers-like mode, and are more lethal than anything we’ve seen in previous Terminator installments.

Wisher presents a satisfying conclusion to what by then would be a 6-picture struggle between Skynet’s machines and John and Sarah Connor to preserve a future that allows mankind to prevail over the machines.

None of this may come to pass but ow good does all that sound. I want to see those movies right now. Hollywood are you listening to me? Get it sorted – I have spoken.

What do you think about Wisher’s ideas for 5 and 6?

Sly, Arnie and Bruce’s scene on The Expendables went well. Oh and Rocky 7 isn’t happening

Posted by LiveFor on October 27, 2009

trioWe know that Stallone, Bruce Willis and Schwarzenegger had been filming their first scene with them all together during the filming of The Expendables.

Now Sheryl, Stallone’s publicist, posted more details on her blog and it sounded like a fine old time was had by all. It sounds as if Arnie will not be playing the Governer of California as previously reported. He is playing a character called Trench and the trio’s scene sets up the whole film. She also says photos will follow.

After Arnold, Bruce and Sly went through the scene a couple of times they all 3 headed off to wardrobe and make-up. at 8:10am with three cameras rolling the biggest action icons of our time went to work. I thought it was electric in Brazil when all of The Expendables stepped on set – but today was atomic!!!! the whole crew was mesmerized as we watched the three of them play off of each other in a pivotal scene that sets up the whole movie. And while I can’t/don’t want to give too much away I can tell you that Arnold’s character is Trench and Bruce is Church, the scene was shot in an empty church without extras and minimal set dec and it has tension and humor – what more can a girl ask for! Sly was in top form as a director today and was in total command. Bruce and Arnold were consummate professionals at all times – we got through the scene quickly without compromise. In 6 hours we did wide shots, close-ups, turned around…the whole nine yards…pretty impressive. Very Clint Eastwood.

With the EPK cameras rolling the three of them talked to me about working together for the first time and it is very funny…can’t wait to see that piece of footage land somewhere! Karen Ballard also took some great shots – we are going to release a shot as soon as we go through the approval process which is why I am not posting anything today. But I will have it posted as soon as we release it.

And then before you know it…it was over. When Sly called wrap the crew spontaneously broke into applause while the three guys stood together for some photos. Then they took shots with some of us – SWEEEET. But then they were gone. Bruce took off for the airport and Arnold, Sly, Avi and a few of us headed off to Caffe Roma for lunch. It was pretty cool stuff. As we left the restaurant TMZ as always was waiting outside along with about 6 other p’razzo. Arnold got into his car, Sly into his and the whole day became a memory.

She then goes on to clear up the whole Rocky 7 rumour that I posted a while back. Looks as if it was from an old interview about Rocky Balboa.

Also the interview that has been running with Sly talking about doing another Rocky – hello people – that was done 3 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is not a new interview and Sly has no intention of doing another Rocky – Rocky Balboa was the perfect bookend to the original Rocky – nothing left to say. I personally am pushing Sly to do Poe – but that will have to wait until he does the next movie – whatever that may be.
