Gallery 1988 are having an exhibition of Twilight Zone inspired art and it looks like it could be epic.
More info on the Gallery 1988 website.
I love the one by Tom Whalen below from the episode “Nightmare at 20000 Feet.” The Shat is always good to watch.

A very nice piece of artwork by Mr Adlard.
Immediately following the events of “Diary of the Dead,” “Survival of the Dead,” is the 6th film from George A. Romero to look at a world where Humans are in the minority and the zombies rule.
Off the coast of Delaware sits the cozy Plum Island where two families are locked in a struggle for power, as it has been for generations. The O’Flynn’s, headed by patriarch Patrick O’Flynn (Kenneth Welsh) approach the zombie plague with a shoot-to-kill attitude. The Muldoons, headed by Shamus Muldoon (Richard Fitzpatrick), feel that the zombies should be quarantined and kept ‘alive,’ in hopes that a solution will someday be found.
The O’Flynn’s, who are clearly outnumbered, are forced to exile Patrick by boat to the mainland, where he meets up with a band of soldiers, headed by Guardsman Sarge (Alan Van Sprang). They join forces and return to the island, to find that the zombie plague has fully gripped the divided community.
As the battle between humans and zombies escalates, the master filmmaker continues to reinvent the modern horror genre with wicked humor and pointed social commentary.

Just a lovely piece of art work. Finally got to see Iron Man 2 today and loved it. Lots of nods to the comic book fans and Tony’s use of what looks like Captain America’s shield is brilliant. Robery Downey Jr was born to play the role. Nice to see Sam Rockwell doing some of his Confessions of a Dangerous Mind dancing as well. As for Scarlett Johansson in the Black Widow catsuit…..Kerpow!

As previously mentioned, Shadowland is a big Marvel event. Daredevil, who is now leader of the evil ninja clan, The Hand, is bringing them to New York and looks as if all the street level heroes of the Marvel U are getting involved. Check out the cool wrap around cover.
Shadowland will be a five issue mini-series written by Andy Diggle and drawn by Billy Tan. Apparently construction has already begun on the monumental fortress that will be Shadowland.
In these promo posters via CBR we can see The Punisher shooting Spider-Man in a very uncomfortable place, Iron Fist and Luke Cage having a face off with what appears to be Elektra and Ghost Rider smacking down Moon Knight. All very cool.

Okay Space Monkeys. Here is a new challenge for you.
Robocop and Dark City went well (at the time of writing I am still going through the latter. Will post them later).
Here is what you have to do for the next one.
You are a film poster designer and have been asked to put together a poster for a new film called Fight Club.
The only info you have about it:
– A loner with insomnia and a cool guy set up an underground fight club.
– They live in a strange dilapidated house.
– One of the men is not what they seem.
– A crazy woman keeps hassling them.
– They make soap and a large man with breasts joins the Club.
– Clubs spread around the country and turns to terrorism
It can be any genre, could be set in any place, any time and is yet to be cast – you can choose the actors and director
You have until 16th May.
From badly drawn mayhem to super slick graphic design, all entries are welcome. Remember even if it is bad only after disaster can we be resurrected.
Post your posters over on the Forum – the best ones will get shown on the site.
This is your life and it’s ending one minute at a time. Go and do something cool and creative.
I would say go and spread the word but you all know what the first rule of Fight Club is.
Go and create.

All fan made, all fake. Yet I really like them. The Captain America on in particular is very well done.

If you are a long time reader of the site you will know I like a nice bit of film related art and here is a lovely piece by Derek Gabryszak.
‘You’re so cool!’ is the first of three postershe is doing for his True Romance series.
Here is some more info from Derek:
The prints are 14”x17” on Canson fine art paper. I (silk screen) printed the three colors of the design by hand. ‘You’re so cool!’ has an edition of 45, and is being sold on my site for $25. Because the screen printing process is so involved, I’m hoping for success with the first print before I print the two remaining designs.
Head on over quick as I don’t think they’ll be around for long.

Check out the excellent work of Rogan Josh. He’s really done excellent jobs in the minimalist style. Hell, he’s even included a reference to Frog Thor. Lots more to check out on his Etsy site and you can buy them for $18.00 a pop.
I think the Doctor Strange one is my favourite.
