Unthinkable – How far will Samuel L Jackson, Michael Sheen and Carrie Anne Moss go?

Posted by LiveFor on April 11, 2010

This all looks very tense and for some reason I get an Arlington Road type vibe from it.

Somewhere in the United States, three nuclear weapons are about to detonate. Younger (Michael Sheen) has hidden the devices and the authorities lead by FBI agent Brody (Carrie-Anne Moss) with the help of H (Samuel L. Jackson), an interrogation specialist, must find them before time runs out. How far will they go to get the information they need and will they do the unthinkable?

Directed by Gregor Jordan and starring Samuel L. Jackson, Carrie-Anne Moss, Michael Sheen, Brandon Routh, Martin Donovan, Gil Bellows, Lora Kojovic.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World – Trailer

Posted by LiveFor on March 25, 2010

Looks way cool!

Meet charming and jobless Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera). A bass guitarist for garage band Sex Bob—omb, the 22—year—old has just met the girl of his dreams…literally. The only catch to winning Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead)? Her seven evil exes are coming to kill him.

Genre—smashing filmmaker Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) tells the amazing story of one romantic slacker’s quest to power up with love in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

Scott Pilgrim has never had a problem getting a girlfriend. It’s getting rid of them that proves difficult. From the girl who kicked his heart’s ass—and now is back in town—to the teenage distraction he’s trying to shake when Ramona rollerblades into his world, love hasn’t been easy. He soon discovers, however, his new crush has the most unusual baggage of all: a nefarious league of exes controls her love life and will do whatever it takes to eliminate him as a suitor.

As Scott gets closer to Ramona, he must face an increasingly vicious rogues’ gallery from her past—from infamous skateboarders to vegan rock stars and fearsome identical twins. And if he hopes to win his true love, he must vanquish them all before it really is game over.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World – First official photos

Posted by LiveFor on January 7, 2010

Finally some official photos for Edgar Wright’s adaption of the Scott Pilgrim comic books. I hadn’t really been fussed about this project even though I am a big fan of Mr Wright’s work. However, Michael Cera with the flaming sword photo above looks very cool. Looks like he is fighting one of Ramona Flowers evil ex-boyfriends.

The film also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Alison Pill, Brandon Routh and Jason Schwartzman.

Superman vs The Dark Knight – Batman is not happy

Posted by LiveFor on December 22, 2009

A mashup of The Dark Knight and Superman Returns using the Bonnie Tyler song Holding Out For A Hero doesn’t sound like it should be as funny as this is.

I was laughing out loud in places and I think it is the way they took Christian Bale’s rant and used that for Batman to tell Superman what he really thinks of him.

Have a watch and let me know your favourite bit.

Green Lantern – Rorschach may be Sinestro and Superman could be in it

Posted by LiveFor on October 17, 2009

sinestroOkay calm down. Before I go any further let me just say that this is a rumour from Harry Knowles over at AICN. However, he states it is from a pretty reliable source from someone working on the film. We know Ryan Reynolds is playing Hal Jordan in the Martin Campbell directed Green Lantern film, but until now there hasn’t really been much movement on who will be playing the other roles.

Here is what Harry had to say:

This story came from someone working on the film. That part is solid, what isn’t – and won’t be till it all gets finalized is the fact that JACKIE EARLE HALEY is leading the list to play SINESTRO!!! That’s just about perfect in my book! Something that makes me absolutely giddy as all hell!

Oh… and according to my source, it’s looking like SUPERMAN will be making a cameo, but that all depends upon how… other DC things go, but it is an indicator that DC is paying attention and taking note of what MARVEL is doing, which has excited all of us so much! But remember, you heard it all here first!

Jackie Earle Haley as Sinestro. For those not in the know Sinestro is the big bad of Hal Jordan’s tales – he used to be a Green Lantern who trained and was a friend of Hal’s but it turned out he was a bit of a nasty chap. Haley was great as Rorschach and is Freddy Krueger in the remake of Elm Street.

In my opinion he has the right face for Sinestro, but he is a little short for the purple faced fella.

As for Superman cameoing (no word if that would be Brandon Routh) well I really hope they have some kind of cameo from him or a few other DC characters just to tie it all in as that is what we comic fans love and geek out on.

Do you think Jackie Earle Haley is the right fit for Sinestro? If not him who? How should they get Superman or other DC characters to cameo in it?

Brandon Routh says W.O.W. would be good

Posted by LiveFor on August 4, 2009

brandon_routh11“I’m kind of a gamer,” Routh told MTV News. He then hinted that he’s not only excited about the announcement that “Spider-Man” director Sam Raimi will helm a big-screen adaptation of the game, but he’s hoping to get a role in it.

“They just announced that Sam Raimi is directing, so that’s very cool,” said Routh. “My friends over at Legendary are working on that. … So I’m looking forward to what’s going to happen with that.”

When I asked him whether he’s hoping to get a call for that project, Routh couldn’t help but smile.

“You might get a little action — a little sword fighting — that would be a lot of fun,” he said.

Is Brandon Routh the George Lazenby of the Superman franchise

Posted by LiveFor on July 6, 2009

Poor Brandon Routh. He was hyped up big time as the new Man of Steel, but sadly, the film sucked. Why have the kid in it? Now it looks as if he will be hanging up the tights.

“The term of the contract expired,” Routh told entertainment site Omelete “But if they call me again, [I’d go] back to the character without thinking twice!”

The expiration of Routh’s contract is pretty crap news for the “Superman Returns” star, as Warner Bros. is rumored to be going a Batman Begins route with a total reboot and a darker tone. Going dark for Superman is the wrong way to go in my opinion.

“I do not know of anything,” Routh said of the film’s progress. “I’m sure that Warner Bros. is moving there, but everything is still uncertain. Really, I do not know anything.”

He Still Routh does have the Dylan Dog film, Dead of Night, and he is also going to be one of the evil ex-boyfriends in Edgar Wrights adaption of Scott Pilgrim vs The World.

Do you want to see Routh in another Superman film? If not him who else?
