Twilight Saga: Eclipse – Bryce Dallas Howard is trying to rip off Robert Pattinson’s head

Posted by LiveFor on February 17, 2010

Bryca Dallas Howard (Spider-Man 3, The Village) took over the role of Victoria from from Rachelle Lefevre in the next installment of everyone’s favourite sparkly vampire film series based on a book. FearNET had the image.

The new image shows Victoria (Howard) with her hands around Edward’s (Pattinson) head, preparing to kill him the old-fashioned way: by tearing his head clean off. Victoria’s boy-toy Riley (Xavier Samuel) is also present, restraining Edward who kneels in pain.

Twilight devotees will notice that nothing exactly like this happens in the book, although Edward does face off with the vengeful Victoria in the snow, so it seems as though screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg has taken some creative liberties to raise the stakes in the third, and more suspenseful, film installment.

The film is due out on 30th June.

Bryce Dallas Howard joins The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Posted by LiveFor on July 29, 2009

Summit Entertainment announced today that Bryce Dallas Howard will take over the role of “Victoria” in the studio’s upcoming production of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Actress, Rachelle Lefevre, who portrayed the character in Twilight as well as the upcoming release of The Twilight Saga’s New Moon, will not continue in the role due to scheduling conflicts with another commitment the actor has made. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will start filming in Vancouver this coming August.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third film in the studio’s Twilight film franchise based on Stephenie Meyer’s blockbuster book series, will be directed by David Slade from a screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg. The film will be released theatrically in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.

“We are incredibly happy that Bryce has agreed to come into the franchise,” said Erik Feig, Summit’s President of Worldwide Production and Acquisitions. “Rachelle brought “Victoria” to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character. The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role.”

Howard most recently starred in Terminator Salvation as Kate Connor and has been seen in Spider-Man 3, Lady In the Water, and The Village. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her leading performance as an actress in the HBO film As You Like It.

In The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob – knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

Eclipse may not have a director yet and photos from New Moon

Posted by LiveFor on March 13, 2009

Earlier this week the “Twilight” fansites said it was Paul Weitz, then the trades said it was Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona, now it seems that no-one has been signed as yet to helm the third “Twilight” feature “Eclipse“.

Summit president of production Erik Feig tells The Los Angeles Times that “The ‘Eclipse’ directing job hasn’t been offered to Juan Antonio or anyone else. We’ve met with three or four talented filmmakers and we’ll be meeting with three or four more other candidates before we make any decision. No one has been offered the job.”

Meanwhile photos of cast members on the set of “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon” have emerged at Spoiler TV. There’s nearly a hundred shots of all the returning cast members including the buffer new Taylor Lautner, leading lady Kristen Stewart, and of course Robert Pattinson.

The Random – Monsters Inc 2, Rocky Marciano, Friday the 13th 2, Damn Yankees, Eclipse, Mars Needs Moms,

Posted by LiveFor on February 28, 2009

It seems we might get a new glimpse at our favorite monsters Mike and Sully in the next few years. Blue Sky Disney is reporting that Monsters Inc. director Pete Docter is working on a sequel to his 2001 hit Pixar film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mikael Salomon will be directing Undefeated: The Rocky Marciano Story. This is the first authorized biopic about the former boxing champion. He is the only one to ever retire and remain undefeated. The film looks at Marciano’s early life up until his untimely death in a plane crash in 1969. Terri Apple wrote the screenplay.

According to The Risky Business Blog, New Line Cinema and Platinum Dunes are going full steam ahead on the next installment of Friday the 13th. Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, the writers that brought us the recent Friday the 13th reboot, are again drafting the script. The next film is being called “a follow-up.”

In a story from Variety, it seems that New Line Cinema has attached Jim Carrey and Jake Gyllenhaal to their reboot of the famed musical, Damn Yankees. Writing the script are comedy veterans Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel. Beginning on a Broadway stage in 1955 the musical won seven Tony Awards. It focuses on the mild mannered Joe Boyd, a man who loves a pro baseball team so much that he decides to sell his soul to the devil in order to aid them. Currently, the hope is that Carrey will be the devil and Gyllenhaal will play Boyd.

According to Entertainment Weekly, it looks like Drew Barrymore is on Summit Entertainment’s shortlist to possibly direct Eclipse, the third film in the Twilight series.

Seth Green will star in Walt Disney Pictures and ImageMovers’ performance-capture feature Mars Needs Moms! says The Hollywood Reporter. An adaptation of the Berkeley Breathed children’s novel, the story follows a boy named Milo (Green) who stows away aboard a spaceship to rescue his mom (Joan Cusack) after she was kidnapped by aliens. Mindy Sterling (“Austin Powers”) will play the alien leader of Mars, inspiring terror in all who meet her. Dan Fogler (Fanboys) is playing Gribble, a friend of Milo. Elisabeth Harnois has also joined the cast.

Antonio Banderas has joined Woody Allen’s next project says The Hollywood Reporter. He’ll be joining Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Naomi Watts and Freida Pinto in the film which is scheduled to start shooting in London in the summer.
