The Resident – Bootleg trailer for Hammer Film’s new one

Posted by LiveFor on April 11, 2010

Every year, three million single women in America move into an apartment for the first time. They do not know who lived in the apartment before them, they do not know their landlords, and they don’t bother to change the locks. This is the story of one such woman.

After separating from her husband, pretty young doctor Juliet Dermer moves to Brooklyn, settling into a new life in a stunning and spacious loft apartment that seems too good to be true.

It is.

Mysterious occurrences lead her to suspect that she is not alone in her home and quickly her fears become all too real. In a chilling revelation, she discovers that her seemingly charming, young landlord, Max, has developed a dangerous obsession with her. A terrifying game of cat and mouse ensues as Juliet fights to free herself from Max’s sinister intentions.

Directed by Antti J. Jokinen and starring Hilary Swank, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen, The Losers) and Christopher Lee.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan stares into Michael Bassett’s Unblinking Eye

Posted by LiveFor on February 12, 2010

Michael Bassett’s adaption of Solomon Kane is finally due out next week. News is now out on his next project. Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen, The Losers, Supernatural) has signed on for the psychological thriller The Unblinking Eye.

THR have the news that Bassett wrote the script. It follows a homicide detective John Callisto (Morgan), now a retired recluse after being nearly murdered by a serial killer, who is tracked down by a relentless journalist. As the two confront each other, dark secrets from both their pasts come to light.

That synopsis puts me in mind of Sleuth (the 1972 film featuring Michael Caine and Laurence Olivier, remade with Caine and Jude Law a few years ago) which is no bad thing.

It is due to start shooting in May and has a budget of $10 million.

The Losers – Zoe Saldana and Jeffrey Dean Morgan get a bit saucy

Posted by LiveFor on February 9, 2010

As previously reported, The Losers is the adaptoin of the Vertigo Comic by Andy Diggle and Jock.

It tells the story of a covert-ops team for the CIA who are betrayed by their handler Max (Jason Patric) while on a search-and-destroy mission in Bolivia.

The team – comprising of Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Clay), Idris Elba (Roque), Oscar Jaenada (Cougar), Columbus Short (Pooch) and Chris Evans (Jensen), vow to get revenge and go on the hunt for the mysterious Max.

It isn’t long before they meet the beautiful Aisha (Zoe Saldana), an operative with her own agenda, who tells them she knows how to find the elusive Max.
As you can see in the pics from The Mail Online, Aisha and Clay get close in the film.

Check out the trailer.

The Losers – New photo looks very like the comic book

Posted by LiveFor on February 1, 2010

The trailer debuted a couple of days ago and now director Sylvian White was chatting to The LA Times and the piece includes the photo above. The film stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Idris Elba, Chris Evans, Columbus Short, Jason Patric, Zoe Saldana, Oscar Jaenada and Holt McCallany.

If it looks familiar it is because of the artwork by Jock for Andy Diggle’s comic.

END OF UPDATE

This is the first look at some footage for the adaption of the Andy Diggle and Jock comic book, The Losers. It is one of those EW teaser of a teaser trailer thing they do.

Directed by Sylvian White the film adaptation stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan (last seen in the comic book world as The Comedian in Zack Snyder’s Watchmen), Zoe Saldana, Chris Evans, Idris Elba, Columbus Short, Holt McCallany, Oscar Jaenada, Jason Patric, and Peter Macdissi.

An explosive tale of double cross and revenge, “The Losers” centers upon the members of an elite U.S. Special Forces unit sent into the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. The team–Clay, Jensen, Roque, Pooch and Cougar–find themselves the target of a lethal betrayal instigated from inside by a powerful enemy known only as Max. Presumed dead, the group makes plans to even the score when they’re joined by the mysterious Aisha, a beautiful operative with her own agenda. Working together, they must remain deep undercover while tracking the heavily-guarded Max, a ruthless man bent on embroiling the world in a new high-tech global war.

Red Dawn remake will be like a live action Call of Duty?

Posted by LiveFor on December 9, 2009

MGM Chairman Mary Parent spoke to Risky Business about the forthcoming remake of Red Dawn. This time it is China instead of Russia invading.

She mentioned the footage she had seen of MGM’s remake (due in theaters next November), currently shooting in Detroit. She said that first-time director Dan Bradley, who orchestrated all the stunt work in the “Bourne” and “Spider-Man” movies, “has really outdone himself.” The remake stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor, Star Trek), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen, Supernatural, The Losers), Isabel Lucas, Josh Peck, Connor Cruise and Adrianne Palicki. Go Wolverines!

She summed up by saying the movie plays like “a live-action ‘Call of Duty,’” which means it should at least look cool.

The trailer below is fan made.

The Losers – First official photos

Here are the first photos from the adaption of the Vertigo comic by Andy Diggle and Jock.

Directed by Sylvian White the film adaptation stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Zoe Saldana, Chris Evans, Idris Elba, Columbus Short, Holt McCallany, Oscar Jaenada, Jason Patric, and Peter Macdissi.

An explosive tale of double cross and revenge, “The Losers” centers upon the members of an elite U.S. Special Forces unit sent into the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. Working together, they must remain deep undercover while tracking the heavily-guarded Max, a ruthless man bent on embroiling the world in a new high-tech global war.

The photo of the team at the top fills me full of hope for this one as it is pretty much how the team looks in the comic.
