2010 Oscars – All the nominees in one photo

Posted by LiveFor on February 17, 2010

The 2010 Academy Award nominees attended the annual Oscar luncheon in Beverly Hills yesterday. Above is a photo of all 120 of them (click on it for a bigger version). How cool would it have been to be there?

Jeff Bridges is looking cool on the left, 2nd row up next to Sandra Bullock. George Clooney is on the back row next to James Cameron, 5th and 6th from the left and Quentin Tarantino is a few spaces on from them. Carey Mulligan and Gabourey Sidibe are on the right in the front row with Jeremy Renner, Kathryn Bigelow, Morgan Freeman, Ivan Reitman and Jason Reitman just behind them. There are many more people you will recognize.

I just think it is a great photo as is the one below showing all the best actor nominees.

The Best Actor nominees (Back L-R) Colin Firth, Jeff Bridges and George Clooney. (Front L-R) Morgan Freeman and Jeremy Renner

Check out the full list of nominees for the 2010 Oscars and whether Jeff Bridges will finally win an Oscar.

The Blind Side – Trailer for Sandra Bullock’s new film

Posted by LiveFor on November 5, 2009

‘The Blind Side’ depicts the remarkable true story of Michael Oher, a homeless African-American youngster from a broken home, taken in by the Touhys, a well-to-do white family who help him fulfill his potential. At the same time, Oher’s presence in the Touhys’ lives leads them to some insightful self-discoveries of their own. Living in his new environment, the teen faces a completely different set of challenges to overcome. As a football player and student, Oher works hard and, with the help of his coaches and adopted family, becomes an All-American offensive left tackle. In the latest chapter of his inspiring story, Oher was a First Round draft pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, selected by the Baltimore Ravens. The Touhys were there to share the moment with him.

Ryan Reynolds is Buried

Posted by LiveFor on June 25, 2009

After playing Deadpool in X-Men Origins:Wolverine and then starring opposite Sandra Bullock in romantic comedy The Proposal, Ryan Reynolds will next be seen in something a little darker.

According to Variety is going to star in Buried, playing a civilian contractor who’s kidnapped in Iraq and awakens buried in a coffin in the desert, armed only with a cell phone, a candle and a knife.

Rodrigo Cortes will direct a script by Chris Sparling. Production will begin this month in Barcelona.

The picture will shoot entirely in Spain, which is home to Cortes, best known for directing The Contestant.

Reynolds apparantly took the indie film role to improve his acting range in the movie with a claustrophobic premise, and one in which he holds the screen through most of the picture.

It will be good to see Reynolds in something that is quite different to films he has previously starred in.

All About Steve – Trailer for Sandra Bullock crazy stalker film

Posted by LiveFor on January 9, 2009

A TV news cameraman is stalked across the country by a brilliant but eccentric crossword-puzzler after they go on one date.

Basically it looks like a film designed to give hope to all the crazy stalkers out there. Yes it is a comedy but I can’t wait for the trailer recut to emphasise the scaryness of Sandra Bullock’s obsessive character.

Directed by Phil Traill. Starring Sandra Bullock, Thomas Haden Church and Bradley Cooper.

The Expendales – Sandra Bullock may be in it and some character descriptions.

Posted by LiveFor on December 29, 2008

JoBlo has heard that Sylvester Stallone is after Sandra Bullock to star in his movie, The Expendables.

It hasn’t been signed off yet but Stallone is trying his best to work with his old Demolition Man partner again. Bullock would play a government agent (paired up with Whitaker) on the hunt for Stallone’s crew of hired guns.

Moviehole had these character descriptions.

Agent Diane Lickson – C.I.A agent, based out of Langley. She’s determined to find out the identities of the hired-contractors (Stallone, Statham, Lundgren etc) but the only video footage they have of the guys is grainy and unwatchable so the facial recognition software is useless. Her colleague, agent Will ‘Willy’ Sands (Forest Whitaker), whose been out of the field for about seven years, is called in to assist her. He’s convinced the team of mercenaries is lead by someone he’s had a previous run-in with.

Church – The man that hires the ‘Expendables’ (run by ‘Barney’ and ‘Christmas’, assumingly the characters played by Stallone and Statham, respectively) to go after General Garza (who essentially runs his own island – described as a human rights graveyard). He’s an older bloke, and has a connection to the young man who Garza has apparently assassinated. This is personal, in other words. He wants Garza killed and his island burnt down. Five million dollars does the trick. (The rumour is, the role was written with Arnold Schwarzenegger in mind).

B.W Monroe – The Female chief intelligence officer, also determined to find out the identities of the ‘Expendables’ – largely Barney and Christmas. Her main interest is keeping The Expendables away from classified company operations that are already underway in the [Garza’s] area. She’s not that fond of ‘Willy’ Sands – considering he once [Johnny Utah-esque] let one of the Mercenaries escape.

Karen – a beautiful Raven-haired waitress; one of Christmas’s many past conquests. He doesn’t remember her – but she remembers him (he even gave her a ring).

Emanuel – a seedy contact of The Expendables. He, 45, doesn’t like to say things twice. They meet him at a club to do business. Seems a little bit shady.

Dan Paine – the head of General Garza’s security detail. His orders are to take the Expendables out. He eventually snags one of the mercenaries and tries to siphon details out of him. (This could be the part Randy Couture recently snagged; unconfirmed).
