Once the mission begins, the men realize things aren’t quite as they appear, finding themselves caught in a dangerous web of deceit and betrayal. With their mission thwarted and an innocent life in danger, the men struggle with an even tougher challenge — one that threatens to destroy this band of brothers.

It stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Randy Couture, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steve Austin, Danny Trejo and Eric Roberts.

Ivan Drago sings Elvis – Dolph Lundgren proves he is the most awesomest person ever.

Posted by LiveFor on February 9, 2010

Dolph Lundgren – you may know him as Ivan Drago, The Punisher, Grace Jones ex-boyfriend, star of Stallone’s The Expendables, kick ass drummer in Command Performance and numerous other straight to DVD titles.

Well if that’s not enough for you check him out in the video below- He sings Elvis, karate chops blocks of ice, plays the drums and wears a tux. What else can the man do?

It all took place at the Melodifestivalen in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden last week. This is where they pick who will represent them at the Eurovision song contest. My thinking is they should forget about any of the official selection and just get the Dolph in there with his drums, karate chops all while shouting “I Will Break YOU!”

Sly, Arnie and Bruce’s scene on The Expendables went well. Oh and Rocky 7 isn’t happening

Posted by LiveFor on October 27, 2009

trioWe know that Stallone, Bruce Willis and Schwarzenegger had been filming their first scene with them all together during the filming of The Expendables.

Now Sheryl, Stallone’s publicist, posted more details on her blog and it sounded like a fine old time was had by all. It sounds as if Arnie will not be playing the Governer of California as previously reported. He is playing a character called Trench and the trio’s scene sets up the whole film. She also says photos will follow.

After Arnold, Bruce and Sly went through the scene a couple of times they all 3 headed off to wardrobe and make-up. at 8:10am with three cameras rolling the biggest action icons of our time went to work. I thought it was electric in Brazil when all of The Expendables stepped on set – but today was atomic!!!! the whole crew was mesmerized as we watched the three of them play off of each other in a pivotal scene that sets up the whole movie. And while I can’t/don’t want to give too much away I can tell you that Arnold’s character is Trench and Bruce is Church, the scene was shot in an empty church without extras and minimal set dec and it has tension and humor – what more can a girl ask for! Sly was in top form as a director today and was in total command. Bruce and Arnold were consummate professionals at all times – we got through the scene quickly without compromise. In 6 hours we did wide shots, close-ups, turned around…the whole nine yards…pretty impressive. Very Clint Eastwood.

With the EPK cameras rolling the three of them talked to me about working together for the first time and it is very funny…can’t wait to see that piece of footage land somewhere! Karen Ballard also took some great shots – we are going to release a shot as soon as we go through the approval process which is why I am not posting anything today. But I will have it posted as soon as we release it.

And then before you know it…it was over. When Sly called wrap the crew spontaneously broke into applause while the three guys stood together for some photos. Then they took shots with some of us – SWEEEET. But then they were gone. Bruce took off for the airport and Arnold, Sly, Avi and a few of us headed off to Caffe Roma for lunch. It was pretty cool stuff. As we left the restaurant TMZ as always was waiting outside along with about 6 other p’razzo. Arnold got into his car, Sly into his and the whole day became a memory.

She then goes on to clear up the whole Rocky 7 rumour that I posted a while back. Looks as if it was from an old interview about Rocky Balboa.

Also the interview that has been running with Sly talking about doing another Rocky – hello people – that was done 3 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is not a new interview and Sly has no intention of doing another Rocky – Rocky Balboa was the perfect bookend to the original Rocky – nothing left to say. I personally am pushing Sly to do Poe – but that will have to wait until he does the next movie – whatever that may be.

Stallone will make Rocky 7 after Rambo 5

Posted by LiveFor on October 25, 2009

rockyJust when you thought it was safe to enter the ring…boxing ring. Honestly, some people can be so smutty.

Sylvester Stallone is almost finished on The Expendables (cameras are currently rolling on Stallone’s scene with Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis. How cool is that!) and is then going back to Rambo V: The Savage Hunt and fighting some kind of genetic beastie.

Not to let a good film series rest (and also bringing us closer to the future vision laid out in Airplane or Hot Shots) Stallone has mentioned that he will be going back to Rocky Balboa – despite the last one supposedly being the last one!

Teensay revealed that the 63-year-old is preparing to be criticised by movie experts and loved ones when he works on his next blockbuster.

He said: “I know I’ll probably make a fool of myself if I make another ‘Rocky’ film after turning 60.

“I also know there’s gonna be a lot of criticism. Even my wife says, ‘Don’t do it. You’re embarrassing the kids’. But I told her, ‘If I don’t try I’ll be a really unhappy man.’

“You have to do it. Artists like me have to go through the dark over and over again.”

He told Tele5 Germany: “When I was 21 years old and at drama school. My teacher said to me, ‘If you ever put your head out there, thousands of people will try to cut it off, but that’s exactly what you need to do as an artist.’

“I know it’s ludicrous and everyone would laugh. I would laugh about it. But I also know that I’d be successful if I can make this a film about becoming older, not about boxing but about myself.”

My Wife and I are big Rocky fans. I think the first one is especially good, but all have their moments (some are really bad moments) and are very enjoyable.

Rocky Balboa or Rocky 6 was a great way to bring the character back, but also gave him some closure. He came back for one last fight and did the business. That was the point of the film.

Therefore, I find it a little odd that Stallone is going to go back to the character one more time. I can’t see the character having another fight, but without that you don’t have a Rocky film.

Anyone have any ideas how another Rocky film could work? Do you think Stallone is being a bit silly doing another or should he go full steam ahead?

The Expendables – Bootleg Teaser Trailer

Posted by LiveFor on September 14, 2009

Here is a bootleg of the teaser trailer for The Expendables that was shown at Venice Film Festival 2009. Due out on 20th August 2010.

It is quite hard to tell how good or bad the film is going to be as it is difficult to make out what exactly is going on in the bootleg. I just want it to be at least half as good as my mind tells me it should be.

Director and star Sylvester Stallone is joined by Forest Whitaker, Eric Roberts, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Dolph Lungdren, Mickey Rourke, Charisma Carpenter, Steve Austin, Arnold Scwarzenegger and Bruce Willis.

Thanks to Ian for providing the link to a working version of the bootleg.
