Buck Rogers – Clip of new web series featuring Gil Gerard and Erin Grey

Posted by LiveFor on March 6, 2010

As you no doubt know Gil Gerard and Erin Grey were Buck Rogers and Wilma Deering from the 1979 TV show.

Now they are back playing the parents of Buck in this new web series by James Cawley. Looks like they are taking Buck back to his period roots.

In this clip Buck (Bobby Rice) is trying to get his parents to let him go to France to join the Air corp during WWI. Not much sci-fi in it yet, but looking nice. If you want to know what the space ships will look like then check out the teaser trailer for it that was out last December.

Have a watch and let me know what you think. Good to see Gil and Erin back.

Gorram! Browncoats rejoice. Fan made Firefly spin-off looks cool

Posted by LiveFor on February 12, 2010

I miss Firefly. A show killed well before its time. Sure Serenity was great, but I wanted to see Mal Reynolds, Wash, and the rest of the crew have many adventures in the ‘Verse created by Joss Whedon.

Although not the same crew Browncoats can get their Firefly fix in a new HD web series scifi western called Courage. All about a ship and it’s crew running from a totalitarian government while spreading hope and courage to a rising rebellious voice.

It stars Philip Delorenzo, Aimee Binford, John Branch, Justin Rister, Alyssa Roehrenbeck, and Daniel Wolf.

Check out the trailer and let me know what you think. Shiny!

Check out the official site for more photos of the crew and you can also buy a Courage T-shirt over there.

Posted by LiveFor on January 11, 2010

Here is a great web series for horror fans. It is by actress / presenter Emily Booth (Evil Aliens).

She is at the 2009 Abertoir Film festival and below she chats to the horror icon and ‘Godfather of Gore’ Herschell Gordon Lewis director of films such as Blood Feast (check out the review by Andrew Barker), She Devil on Wheels, The Gruesome Twosome and The Wizard of Gore.

In the final part she speaks to Pinhead himself, Doug Bradley of Hellraiser fame. They discuss the woes of wearing prosthetic make up and enjoying a good bit of vibrating!

Terminator Salvation: The Machinima Series (Ep. 1 Preview)

Posted by LiveFor on May 20, 2009

Two years before the events of Terminator Salvation, Resistance fighter Blair Williams embarks on a deadly mission to eradicate a technological threat that is weakening the Resistance’s ability to fight a deadly A.I. called Skynet and its lethal array of Terminator machines.

The Resistance is the last hope for survival. Commanded by the remnants of a decimated military system, resistance fighters battle the machines of Skynet day and night without quitting. Blair Williams (Moon Bloodgood) is one of these fighters. Blair is in her early 30’s and is old enough to remember a normal life but vital enough to learn how to fight. She is highly skilled and superbly courageous – traits that often get her some of the hardest missions.

We meet Blair at the beginning of one of these missions. She has been sent into the heart of downtown Los Angeles, a known hot zone, to seek out and destroy something called “The Ghost” – a code name designated to a machine designed to interfere with Command’s communications. The resistance knows that Skynet is ever evolving and this must be just another tactic to bring down the leadership. Without the ability to talk to each other, the Resistance would simply fracture and collapse. It was already starting to happen.
