Iron Sky – Check out the Space Nazis

It was way back in February 2009 that we first mentioned Iron Sky. It is by the makers of Star Wreck so will at least look good.

It stars Julia Dietze and shooting has started. io9 got the pics from the official site.

Towards the end of World War II the staff of SS officer Hans Kammler made a significant breakthrough in anti-gravity.

From a secret base built in the Antarctic, the first Nazi spaceships were launched in late ‘45 to found the military base Schwarze Sonne (Black Sun) on the dark side of the Moon. This base was to build a powerful invasion fleet and return to take over the Earth once the time was right.

Now it’s 2018, the Nazi invasion is on its way and the world is goose-stepping towards its doom.

Competition – Star Wreck DVDs

Star Wreck is a feature-length sci-fi parody, seven years in the making. It is the product of a core group of five Finns, and over 300 extras, assistants and supporters.

Star Wreck begins with Captain James B. Pirk of the starship Kickstart shipwrecked on the 21st century Earth with his crew. Originally from the distant future, Pirk and his crew travelled back in time to save the Earth from hostile aliens, but lost their ship and became stranded. Pirk’s daily routine consists mainly of stuffing his face at the local fast food restaurant, and he is finding it difficult to convince the ladies he is, in fact, an intergalactic space hero from the future.

As the prospects for humanity’s conquest of space look increasingly bleaker, Pirk comes up with a questionable plan to save mankind’s future…

As I have had to get Live for Films back up and running I thought I would throw a little competition.

Thanks to the good people from Way to Blue I have 3 copies of the DVD – PAL Region 2 – up for grabs.

To be in with a chance to win one I want you to come up with a spoof name for any movie released in 2009 (Star Trek = Star Wreck). The three that make me laugh the most win.

The competition is open to everyone, anywhere in the World. However, it’s rated 15 so you have to be that age or more to enter and make sure you can play Region 2 DVDs. My decision is final.

The film was originally released online for free by its director, Samuli Torssonen (who also stars in it), and is now seeing the light as a double DVD pack with tons of new and previously unseen extras, including a sneak peek at their next project, Iron Sky – That is the Space Nazis on the Moon film I mentioned a while back.

Star Wreck is heading to DVD

Star Wreck, as the name suggests, is a Star Trek spoof which is coming out on DVD for the first time on 4th May through Revolver Entertainment.
The film was originally released online for free by its director, Samuli Torssonen (who also stars in it), and is now seeing the light as a double DVD pack with tons of new and previously unseen extras, including a sneak peek at their next project, Iron Sky – That is the Space Nazis on the Moon film I mentioned a while back.
I should hopefully have a DVD or two to give away in a competition so watch this space.
