Thor – Trailer…well a fan made one

I love me a good fan made trailer and this is kind of cool while we wait for something more official from Kenneth Branagh’s Thor.

An arrogant Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is cast to Earth from Asgard as a weakling to learn, where he falls in love and encounters a familiar enemy and some new allies.

NOTE: Using all available info about the upcoming Thor movie [2011], I started collecting scenes and similar shots from other movies with the listed cast. Yes, Chris Hemsworth lost his wig on the rainbow bridge upon entering Earth. Tom Hiddleston (Loki) has not starred in any readily available movies so he was merely implied here. Natalie Portman plays a caring wife ‘Brothers’ so that was easy; Stellan Skarsgaard (Angels & Demons) as the expert on Norse Mythology; Clark Gregg (Iron Man, Spartan) as the SHIELD Agent; Sir Anthony Hopkins(Alexander) as Odin; and Kat Dennings (Defendor) as a new character.

I’m expecting alot from this movie and this is how I envision Kenneth Branagh will direct it.

Project London – Trailer for independently-produced, crowd-sourced, science-fiction, action-adventure, no-budget, effects movie

This looks amazing and even more so as they had no budget to make it.

After WWII, the Nalardians, an alien race, have brought their technology to Earth. Peace reigns under the world government they helped create, the Joint Command.

Nebraska Higgins plunges into a world of intrigue and struggle when Joint Command kills his father, a hero known by his exosuit, Arizona.

Seeing a prime opportunity, the London Underground, a rugged band of revolutionaries, recruits Nebraska to join the resistance against the Joint Command.

Can Nebraska deal with the loss of his father as interplanetary calamities threaten to destroy the world around him? Earth’s fate depends on the potential in a young man’s heart.

This clip explores the world of Project London and introduces the opposing forces, Joint Command and The London Underground. All 3D animated elements were created using Blender, open source software.

Tron – Fan Made trailer for the original film

I love Tron and I love this modern day take for a trailer by DrewboiX. He has done an awful lot of work on this one. Watch and enjoy.

Just a huge fan of this movie. Wanted to make a exciting trailer with a modern feel as oppose to its original marketing in the 80s. I hope people will give this movie a try before they see Tron Legacy. Sure its dated but there was practically nothing like it in the day, especially 1982. Judge Minty – 2000AD Fan Film in the works

While we wait for the new Judge Dredd film to find a director and begin filming – Duncan Jones’ recent ideas sound as if he is the man for the job – we can look forward to seeing some Judge action in a fan film heading our way called Judge Minty.

This is looking very cool.

The fan film will be based on Judge Minty, a character created by John Wagner and Mick McMahon. An aging Judge who is forced to ‘retire’ from the streets, mainly it seems because he has become too compassionate.

He chooses to take ‘The Long Walk’ into the Cursed Earth, there “to take law to the lawless”. The film will be based around his first experiences in the radioactive wastes.

Edmund Dehn is playing Judge Minty. Award winning artist and illustrator Greg Staples has a brief appearance as Judge Dredd (that’s him in the pic) and filming is currently underway.

Steven Sterlacchini is directing it and I can’t wait to see some footage.
