The Tournament – Lots of assassins trying to kill each other

Posted by LiveFor on August 17, 2009

tournamentbCheck out the trailer for this film by Scott Mann as it looks very cool in a Hard Target kind of way (was that cool? Probably not but you get the idea). Although Mann appears to have directed a few episodes of Stars in Their Eyes which just seems a bit weird!

It stars Robert Carlyle having a very bad day, Kelly Hu (X-Men 2, Martial Law), Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction), Scott Adkins (Ninja, Wolverine), Ian Somerhalder (Lost) and Sebastien Foucan who is the cool parkour dude from Casino Royale.

Every seven years (although the poster says 10) in an unsuspecting town, The Tournament takes place. A battle royale between 30 of the world’s deadliest assassins. The last man standing receiving the $10,000,000 cash prize and the title of Worlds No 1, which itself carries the legendary million dollar a bullet price tag.

sounds almost like Mean Guns with Christopher Lambert and Ice-T, an extremly underrated movie imo.
gonna keep a lookout for this one 🙂

Know the company that made this. Saw their first promo trailer, this looks much better than the trailer I saw. It does what it says on the tin by the looks of it, so hope it does well.
